The Pioneer MTB Stage Race
I worked as lead designer on the identity for The Pioneer: a 7 day MTB Stage Race set in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The brief was to highlight the stunning South Island scenery while reflecting that this is not an event for the faint-hearted and is designed to push even experienced mountain bikers to their limits. I delivered an identity system including logo, fonts, colour palette and image treatment that gave the Pioneer brand just the right amount of grunt!
I was also responsible for the majority of visual assets for the event, including maps, expo banners, merchandise, finisher medals, and a large range of print and digital advertisements.
